ERIN GEESAMAN-RABKE

erin geeseman-rabke

Erin Geesaman Rabke has been in deep study of awareness and embodiment for more than 20 years.

Currently teaching as a Guild Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner and Embodied Life Teacher, in the past she's also been a yoga instructor and teacher trainer, a tai chi teacher, and a health writer. Erin is the creator of many courses including Women Embodied; Basics of Back Care; The Embody Gratitude Project; Flourish; and Bravely Befriending Yourself, among others. Along with in-person and online classes, Erin and her husband Carl regularly offer retreats in Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Costa Rica. They also teach through the University of Utah's Physical Therapy and Dance departments, and at retreat sesshins for Two Arrows Zen Center, supporting retreat practitioners in finding more comfort, ease, and embodied presence in the sitting posture of meditation. Together, they are the creators of the Art of Sitting Course for meditators and directors of The Center for Embodied Living. Erin's current passion is exploring the living territory where awareness and embodiment come together to support human beings in living liberating lives of benefit for all. She is a firm believer in the liberating power of courageous kindness.

Erin's been blessed to study with many incredible Buddhist meditation teachers over the past 20+ years. Her main teachers in meditation include Dzogchen teachers Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, Tsoknyi Rinpoche, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, and Zen teacher, Russell Delman. She's had the good fortune to do many months of intensive retreat, and to study with dozens of excellent teachers in the realm of embodiment and somatics, especially Russell Delman, Reginald Ray, Donna Farhi, Gary Kraftsow, Yvan Joly, Ruthy Alon, and many more.
