VICKI OVERFELT received her Masters of Arts in Education with an emphasis in educational administration from Columbia University, Teachers College. Since 2006, Vicki has focused her instruction specifically on the study of stress reduction through the practice of mindfulness and specializes in the delivery of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Vicki received her MBSR training through the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Healthcare, and Society, located at UMASS Medical School. She has completed the full training path in MBSR and is a fully certified instructor.

A practitioner of mind-body disciplines for more than 25 years Vicki follows a dedicated retreat practice which fortifies her devotion and understanding of the material she is dedicated to sharing with others.

Vicki also works as a mindfulness consultant at Davis Behavioral Health and as an MBSR Instructor at IHC's LiVeWell Center in Park City. Vicki has collaborated with University of Utah researchers on projects related to the effectiveness of mindfulness on various populations, and contracts with other organizations as a mindfulness instructor. Vicki is also qualified to teach “Mindful Schools,” and "Learning to Breathe," and is working with Davis Behavioral Health to implement those curricula throughout the Davis County School District.
